Benefits and Importance of Deep sleep

In "How to get Deep Sleep" we discuss some methods to improve quality of sleep. Now we understand the importance and benefits of deep sleep, also what are the disadvantage of not taking proper sleep.

Sleep charge our body and refresh our brain. During sleep a lot of functions has performed by our brain which directly depend on our sleep quality.

  • Sleep and Brain Function

Sleep is required for proper brain functioning. Specially it allows our neurons of nerve cells to reorganize and creation of new cells. During sleep our brain stored needed information into permanent memory. When we sleep, our brain's glymphatic system clears out waste from the Central nervous system. It removes toxic byproduct from our brain which build throughout the day. This allows our brain to work well when we wake up.

  • Some other benefits of sleep

1. During the whole day we used a lot of energy in different task, so when we sleep our body conserve energy and because of this conserved energy we feel energetic and productive when we wake up.

2. Body need Sleep to restore itself. Even the healing power of body is increased during sleep.

As Andy Coghlan at New Scientist reports, researchers have found that wounds sustained during the day heal twice as fast as those that occur at night.

3. During sleep body control our almost hormones. It help us to stay emotional well-being. And we don't feel any irritation, anger etc. after wake up.

4. Sleep maintain our weight because during sleep hunger hormones are in control.

5. Sleep also boast our immunity and also keep our heart healthy.

1. Low learning power

2. Serious health problems

3. Depression and irritation

4. Lack of sleep Ages our sleep

5. Level of hormones are dis-balanced

6. Low concentrations and focus power
